Australia. The new Cayenne GTS shown at the Porsche stand at this year’s Frankfurt International Motor Show will go on sale in Australia in the first quarter of 2008.

The Cayenne GTS features enhanced exterior styling, a more powerful 4.8-litre V8 engine, 21-inch alloy wheels with 295/35 R21 tyres as standard, a 24 mm reduction in ride height for even sportier handling and two new exterior colours exclusive for this model.
The direct injection normally aspirated V8 engine gains 15 kW of power to raise maximum output to 298 kW at 6,500 rpm. Maximum torque remains unchanged at 500 Nm at 3,500 rpm.
The Cayenne GTS – which is based on the Cayenne S – will be offered in Australia with air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and six-speed Tiptronic S transmission as standard.
It is instantly recognisable as a special model with its body-coloured lower bumpers and sills, together with front and rear styling treatment of the Turbo model. Interior enhancements include newly developed 12-way sports seats finished in a sporty blend of leather and alcantara.

The two new exclusive exterior colours are GTS Red and Nordic Gold Metallic.
Acceleration is also expected to be sharper with a 0–100 km/h sprint time in the mid 6-second bracket. Average fuel consumption with Tiptronic S transmission is 13.9 liters/100 km in accordance with EU standards.
The Cayenne GTS will be positioned above the Cayenne S and below the Cayenne Turbo. Pricing for the Australian market will be announced closer to the vehicle’s launch in late February 2008.
